Minutes
This regular meeting of the Hamburg Township Library Board of Trustees was called to order by Mary Evergreen at 7:00pm in the Patricia Waters Community Room.
Present: Matt Assenmacher, Mary Evergreen, Bridgette Rosek, Crystal Walter
Absent: Jodie Colone, Richelle Hocking
Also Present: Holly Hentz, Christine Weber
Approval Of:
- Motion to approve Agenda as presented made by Rosek; Seconded by Assenmacher; Motion carried.
- Motion to approve the minutes from February 20, 2024 as presented made by Walter; Seconded by Assenmacher; Motion carried.

Financial
- Motion to approve February 2024 Financial Report as presented made by Walter; Seconded by Rosek; Motion carried.
- Motion to approve Library Voucher #648 in the amount of $77,308.52 made by Evergreen; Seconded by Rosek; Motion carried.
Librarian’s Report
- In-house Statistics: 4,198 Patrons Served; 62 New Patrons; 5,706 Item Check-outs; 196 computer uses.
- Online Statistics: 2,388 Libby; 30 PressReader; 340 Zinio; 27 Fold3; 8 Heritage Quest; 10 TumbleBooks; 23 Niche Academy.
- Other News: Beverly Myers concert drew 366 people. 200 Tiny Art Show canvases distributed.

Correspondence
Old Business
- Motion to approve $3,758.32 for RFID Upgrade as quoted made by Rosek; seconded by Assenmacher; Motion carried.
- Township insurance company approved $58,000 towards roof repair; Township handling RFP process. Hentz will give updates as they happen.
New Business
- Library policy verbiage changes proposed regarding staff privileges and vacation time. Motion to approve policy changes as presented made by Walter; seconded by Rosek; Motion carried.
- Motion to approve $13,035.73 to purchase new Konica Minolta copy machine and Jamex coin op as presented made by Assenmacher; seconded by Walter; Motion carried.
- Motion to approve $1,676.00 to purchase from and install by Pete Black Plumbing a new water fountain with bottle filler as presented made by Walter; seconded by Rosek; Motion carried.
- Proposed 2024-2025 Budget – Hentz presented the new budget; board discussed. It will be up for approval at the April meeting. Contact Hentz or Weber with any follow-up questions.

- Fundraisers
- February Gift Shop Sales = $210.25
- 4 Gardening Classes in April & May
- Kroger Qtrly Rewards = $79.43 from 29 families
- Library cooking Classes sponsored by Friends - 2 completed with good feedback and 2 more scheduled
- Social media update: FaceBook now has 300+ followers. Instagram is now set-up.
- FRIENDSRaiser on 3/13 was a fun evening, Door Prizes were a hit and we got a new member! Currently have 156 members with renewal program ramping up.
- Casey Hines has agreed to take the lead on grant submissions, and Judy Webber has agreed to be the Friends’ historian.
Relevant Board Issues
- Evergreen will not be present at the May meeting.
