    Minutes
Meeting was called  to order in the Patricia Waters Community Room by Hocking at 7:00pm.  
  Present: J. Colone, M. Evergreen, R. Hocking,  B. Rosek
  Absent: M. Assenmacher, C. Walter
  Also present: H. Hentz, C. Weber
Approval  of 
  1)  Motion  to approve the agenda made by Colone; seconded by Evergreen.  Motion carried.
  2)  Motion  to approve the Minutes from Dec. 19, 2023 made by Colone; seconded by Rosek.  Motion carried.
Call to the Public: None present.
Financial 
  1)  Motion to accept the December 2023 Financial  Report made by Rosek; seconded by Evergreen.   Motion carried.
  2)  Motion to approve Library Voucher #646 in  the amount of $74,945.78 made by Evergreen; seconded by Rosek.  Motion carried.
Librarian’s  Report 
  1)  In-house  Statistics: 3,725 patrons served; 46 new patrons; 4,256 item check-outs; 113  computer uses.
  2)  Online  Statistics: 2,388 Libby; 43 PressReader; 340 Zinio; 3 Fold3; 0 Heritage Quest;  66 Tumble Books, 17 Niche Academy.
  3)  Other News: Mitten  Tree was quite successful: 119 sets of gloves, 69 glove/hat/scarf sets, 265 hats, 38  scarves/ear warmers, 2 sweaters, 1 jacket, 1 blanket, 15 sock sets, 1  suspenders, 7 baby boots. 450 items last year, 518 this year.
  4)  Upcoming  Programs:
Correspondence 
  1)  None.
Old  Business 
  1)  Hentz  provided an update on renovation project.
  2)  Board  discussed and shared different ideas for the logo design.  Hentz drafted an RFP for professional graphic  design services and will make the changes discussed.  It is estimated that the RFP will go out to  potential vendors in early March.   Discussion to continue at February meeting.
New  Business 
  1) Staff  in-service day – Motion to have Hentz  develop a staff in-service day to include basic fire safety, CPR & AED  training made by Rosek; seconded by Evergreen.   Motion carried.  Fire  Department schedule will determine the date, but aiming for a Friday in May.
Friends  Report 
  1)  December  Gift Shop Income - $475.86.  Christmas  items have been removed.
  2)  Contemplating new Fund Raiser ideas for the  coming FY - Christmas in June/July; Silent Auction; Prom Dress (accessories?)  Resale.
  3)  Upcoming Events - 3/13 - FRIENDRaiser (Spring  Open House); 4/8-4/13 - Spring Book Sale (Donations 4/1-4/6); 4/24-5/15 - Spring  Gardening Classes Wed. 10-11am; 5/3 - Library Staff Recognition Lunch; 10/21-10/26  - Fall Book Sale (Donations 10/16-10/19); 11/16 - Rummage Sale (Donations 11/14-11/15)
