Call to Order and Pledge to the Flag:
This regular meeting of the Hamburg Township Library Board of Trustees was called to order by Jodie Colone at 7:00 pm in the Patricia Waters Community Room B.
Approval of
- Motion to approve Agenda as presented made by Hocking; Seconded by Assenmacher; Motion carried.
- Motion to approve the minutes from January 21, 2025 as presented made by Walter; Seconded by Assenmacher; Motion carried.
Call to the Public: No comments made.
Financial
- Motion to approve the January 2025 Financial Report made by Walter; seconded by Assenmacher. Motion carried.
- Motion to approve Library Voucher #659 in the amount of $77,037.17 made by Evergreen; seconded by Hocking. Motion carried.
Librarian’s Report
- In-house Statistics: 4,037 patrons served; 78 new patrons; 5,176 item check-outs;
128 computer uses.
- Online Statistics: 3,109 Libby; 470 Zinio; 0 Fold3; 1 Heritage Quest; 30 Ancestry; 5 TumbleBooks; 21 Niche Academy.
- Other News - Participated in Community Connect on 2/1/25 - 625 attended.

Old Business
- Update on Strategic Planning - survey is available now online (Website, FaceBook) and via hardcopy (Library front desk). Hoping to get at least 750 responses = 10%.
- Motion to approve the new Personal Leave Policy for part time staff as presented to be in compliance with the Earned Sick Time Act made by Walter; seconded by Assenmacher. Motion carried.
New Business
- Motion to approve the Law Enforcement Record Request and Search Policy and Procedure as presented made by Walter; seconded by Hocking. Motion carried.
- Motion to approve the new Fine Free Policy as presented made by Assenmacher; seconded by Evergreen. Motion carried. This policy will take effect June 1, 2025.
- Motion to approve July 5, 2025 as an unpaid closed day made by Evergreen; seconded by Assenmacher. Motion carried.
Friends Report, Debbie Kooperman reporting
- An illuminated floor globe will be purchased as a memorial for Linda Gacioch.
- Fundraising Update: Jan. gift shop sales = $301.90; Spring Gardening Series - 12 open slots (out of 30); Spring book sale begins May 10.
- Recipient of $750 FOML Grant.
