Call to Order and Pledge to the Flag:
This regular meeting of the Hamburg Township Library Board of Trustees was called to order by Richelle Hocking at 7:00pm in the Patricia Waters Community Room.

Approval Of:

• Motion to approve Agenda as presented made by Colone; Seconded by Assenmacher; Motion carried.
• Motion to approve the minutes from January 16, 2024 as presented made by Colone; Seconded by Walter; Motion carried.

Call to the Public: Kim Roberts present.

Financial:
1)  Motion to approve January 2024 Financial Report as presented made by Walter; Seconded by Colone; Motion carried.
2) Motion to approve Library Voucher #647 in the amount of $88,919.26 made by Colone; Seconded by Walter; Motion carried.

Librarian’s Report:
1)  In-house Statistics: 3,442; Patrons Served; 62 New Patrons; 5,526 Item Check-outs; 151 computer uses.
2)  Online Statistics: 2,504 Libby; 56 PressReader; 357 Zinio; 9 Fold3; 1 Heritage Quest; 14 TumbleBooks; 29 Niche Academy.
3)  Other News: Family Fun concert with Jim Gill on 1/19 at the 2|42 church had 362 participants. We were present at the Community Connect on 2/3 @ Crystal Gardens. Estimated attendance was at least 252 people.

Correspondence:
1)  None.

Old Business:

• Library logo Request for Proposal discussed and will be distributed in early March.
• Staff in-service day is scheduled for May 10 with Hamburg Township Fire Department.

New Business
1) Library roof - all Twp building roofs were inspected; results are expected soon.
2) Two CDs maturing

• Motion to approve rolling over State Bank $250,000 CD (plus accrued interest) at 5.2% for 90 days made by Colone; Seconded by Walter; Motion carried.
• Motion to approve rolling over Flagstar Bank $250,000 CD (plus accrued interest) at 5.03% for 180 days made by Colone; Seconded by Assenmacher; Motion carried.

3) Updating RFID equipment – Per the millage financial worksheet, the library’s RFID system will be updated next budget year.  Staff is analyzing the updated equipment and will do an on-site visit to either Southfield or East Lansing library to evaluate.  Expect quote to be available for Board review next month.
