Present: Matt Assenmacher, Jodie Colone, Mary Evergreen, Richelle Hocking, Bridgette Rosek, Crystal Walter

Call to Order and Pledge to the Flag:
This regular meeting of the Hamburg Township Library Board of Trustees was called to order by Richelle Hocking at 7:00pm in the Patricia Waters Community Room.
Approval Of:
- Motion to approve Agenda as presented made by Walter; Seconded by Rosek. Motion carried.
- Motion to approve the minutes from March 19, 2024 as presented made by Rosek; Seconded by Walter. Motion carried.
Call to the Public: No one addressed the board.
Financial:
- Motion to approve March 2024 Financial Report as presented made by Colone; Seconded by Rosek. Motion carried.
- Motion to approve Library Voucher #649 in the amount of $109,808.83 made by Evergreen; Seconded by Rosek. Motion carried.
Librarian’s Report
- In-house Statistics: 3,806 Patrons Served; 67 New Patrons; 5,616 Item Check-outs; 197 computer uses.
- Online Statistics: 3,178 Libby; 352 Zinio; 25 Fold3; 26 Heritage Quest; 14 TumbleBooks; 10 Niche Academy.
- Other News: LACASA & Great Start Livingston presented Champions of Children Award on April 3. Hentz distributed the new Homeschool Connection brochure highlighting library resources for homeschool families.

Old Business
- Updates: RFID equipment - equipment installed and book tagging in progress; new copy machine installed and in-use; drinking fountain installed and in-use; roof - pending Township RFP.
- Motion to approve proposed budget as is for 2024-2025 in amount of $1,285,538.79 made by Walter; seconded by Evergreen. Motion carried.
- Graphic design firms for new logo: Two firms were eliminated. Discussion regarding the two remaining firms will continue at May meeting. Board members split on choice.
New Business
- Motion to approve roll-over of CIBC Bank CD #1 maturing 5/16/24 at best possible rate available made by Evergreen; seconded by Walter. Motion carried.
Friends Report - Debbie Kooperman reporting
- March Gift Shop Sales = $458.65. Spring Booksale = $2,559.60. Upcoming Fundraiser garden classes are set for April 24, May 1, May 8, and May 15.
- Cooking Classes sponsored by Friends continue to be popular. Two more left.
- FaceBook now has 318 followers. Instagram has 10 followers.
Relevant Board Issues
1) Evergreen will be absent at May meeting.
