Call to Order and Pledge to the Flag
This regular meeting of the Hamburg Township Library Board of Trustees was called to order by Michaelene Farrell at 7:00 pm. in the Patricia Waters Community Room.
Present: Michaelene Farrell, Jodie Colone, Richelle Hocking, Crystal Walter
Absent: Mary Evergreen, Bridgette Rosek
Also Present: Holly Hentz, Christine Weber

Approval Of
1)   Motion to approve Agenda as presented made by R.Hocking; seconded by J.Colone; Motion carried.
2)   Motion to approve the minutes from March 15, 2022 as presented made by J.Colone; seconded by
C.Walter; Motion carried.

Librarian’s Report
1)    In-house Statistics: 3628 patrons served; 62 new patrons; 6080 in-house item check-outs, 110 computer uses.
2)    Online Statistics: Axis360 check-outs: 834; PressReader check-outs: 160; Ancestry uses: 0; Fold3 uses: 65; Heritage Quest uses: 39; Infobase uses: 0; Career Guidance uses: 0; Niche Academy uses: 0.
3)    Other News: Sewing Machine and Pickleball Sets have been added to the ‘Library of Things.’  Oscar and Grammy winners have been ordered to the extent we are capable as many are now streaming.

1) Proposed 2022-2023 Budget: Motion to approve 2022-2023 Budget as presented made by C.Walter; seconded by J.Colone; Motion carried.

New Business
1)   Fall Events Update: Youth department will no longer be hosting a haunted library or haunted hayride.  Other Halloween themed events or projects will be planned.
2)   Water Softener Replacement: Motion to approve purchase Water Softener from Beauchamp for $6,575.30 made by J.Colone; seconded by C.Walter; Motion carried.

1)   Debbie Kooperman Reporting status per 4-1-22 Meeting

Relevant Board Issues
1)   Banned book impact - expected to be more predominant in school libraries vs public libraries.
2)   Peg Eibler Visitation/Funeral
