Library Board of Trustees Meeting

Minutes

Present: Matt Assenmacher, Mary Evergreen, Richelle Hocking, Bridgette Rosek and Crystal Walter.
Absent: Jodie Colone.
Also Present: Holly Hentz, Christine Weber.

This regular meeting of the Hamburg Township Library Board of Trustees was called to order by Crystal Walter at 7:00 pm in the Patricia Waters Community Room.

Call to the Public:  None present.

Financial:

Librarian’s Report
1)  In-house Statistics: 4,058 Patrons Served; 64 New Patrons; 5,426 Item Check-outs; 
150 Computer Uses.
2)  Online Statistics: 3,188 Libby; 417 Zinio; 24 Fold3; 150 Heritage Quest; 4 Ancestry; 33 TumbleBooks; 16 Niche Academy.
3)  Other News: Hentz & Stokanovich met with Rep. Conlin and Sen. Theis to discuss library funding during Library Advocacy Day and it went well.  Hentz worked with United Way  to help with their annual grant decisions.  Fine Free begins June 1.  Reminder, the library is closing at 1:00pm Saturday, May 24 for parking lot work.
4)  Upcoming Programs

Correspondence
1)  None.

Old Business:
1)  Update on Strategic Planning with Lisa A.: Survey extended through May.

New Business:
1)  Two CDs are maturing: Motion to roll over all fund plus interest in the FlagStar Bank CD  into for 119 days at the rate of 4.25 % or better made by Rosek; Seconded by Evergreen. Motion carried.
Motion to rollover all funds plus interest in the CIBC Bank CD for 119 days at the rate of 4.25 % or better made by Rosek; Seconded by Hocking. Motion carried.
2)  Annual millage resolution offered by Evergreen and supported by Hocking.  Resolution passed.  See attached.
3)   Electrician evaluating requirements for a possible shared generator with the senior center.  Hentz will follow up.
